The Police Foundation and The Stationery Office (TSO) are pleased to announce the launch of the new Roadcraft app.
Developed in collaboration with the police, other emergency services, and driving instructors who specialise in advanced driver training, the Roadcraft app is an essential reference tool for emergency responders preparing for the demands of operational driving; experienced emergency services drivers and trainers as a useful reference; and anyone looking to become a better, safer driver.
The Roadcraft app features a digital version of the latest Roadcraft handbook, exclusive in-vehicle videos demonstrating key manoeuvres and principles, the complete Roadcraft quiz question bank and a useful search feature. It’s available offline so that you can use it anytime, anywhere. The app will help you to:
- understand and apply the Roadcraft system of car control
- recognise the human factors that influence your driving and develop strategies to manage them
- improve your personal risk awareness and competence in handling your vehicle so that you can tackle driving situations safely and effectively
- apply advanced techniques such as single and multi-stage overtakes, observation links and limit points
- develop self-assessment skills to continuously improve your driving abilities.
You can purchase the official Roadcraft app from your app store.
Please note, this app does not issue Roadcraft certificates. This feature is only available to learners who pass the Roadcraft e-learning course available on the Safe Driving for Life website.
